Tooth Decay, Gum Line Defects And How They Are Associated With Receding Gums

Tooth decay is the destruction of tooth enamel, and gum line defects occur causing erosion of the gums exposing the sensitive area upper area of the tooth thus gums start to pull away from the tooth. Such condition is commonly known as receding gums. This is commonly experienced by adults, and commonly caused by toothbrush abrasion and consumption of acidic foods and drinks thus losing the protective coat of the tooth's crown making it prone to tooth decay.

Untreated tooth decay and receding gums can lead to tooth loss. To prevent his from happening a need for dental filling and receding gums treatment is necessary and to regain that healthy set of teeth and gums.
